The master cleanse isn’t really a way to lose weight, it’s a cleanse meaning it gets toxins out of your body. I did it and I felt wonderful. I lost about 8 lbs. If you really want to lose weight you need to eat protein (and veggies to balance out your protein-not from a can ever). Chicken is great because the average chicken breast is 100 calories but it takes your body 300 calories to burn it so you actually burn more just by eating it.

Exercise on a nearly empty tummy. When you have just eaten, even an hour before you exercise your body is going to use that food when you exercise to beef you up but if your stomach is empty then your body will automatically take from your fat storage instead. Eat within 1 hour of waking up in the morning, if you don’t your metabolism will shut down for the entire day and everything you eat that day will be sent to your fat storage. And DO NOT eat 4 hours before going to bed.

Cutting out processed foods, carbs, most dairy, canned foods, sweets and salad dressings (use a vinaigrette instead) you will drop the weight quickly. Eat fruit before noon and not after so that your body will have time to burn off the sugar.

Your meals of the day should go like this:
Breakfast-eat like a KING (your largest meal of the day)
Lunch-eat like a PRINCE (medium sized meal)
Dinner-eat like a POPPER (EXTREMELY small meal) You body shuts down at night so when you eat a huge meal, your body will only process 1/2 of it and send the rest to your fat storage.

Stay COMPLETELY away from avocados, carrots, corn, beets, bananas and all potatoes. These are either high in sugar or starch. You can eat all fish (non-battered) chicken breast, beef of all sorts and limit your pork. Pigs do not have sweat glands so there is no way for the toxins in their bodies to be released.

This is all from my Nutritionist, in 2 months I have lost 37 lbs. =) My friends have started this too and they have lost a lot of weight. And cardio is the BEST way to lose weight.

It works. Crash diets like this backfire, however. You starve yourself and lose weight, but once you stop starving yourself and go off the diet, you WILL gain it all back and then some more. Crash diets always fail. The only true weight loss is through exercise (burning more calories than you take in) and a life style change with what you eat. If you eat healthy for the diet then go back to greasy food, you will put all the weight back on.

As for the being sick part… You will get sick phyically and mentally. Physically, through pain and tiredness, and mentally, always being distraced and unfocused. If you exercise and eat healthy, you’re physical and mental being will improve and you won’t get sick from that.
